Featured Commissions

A man with glasses and a hat leans over a large poster on a wooden desk, writing with a black marker. The desk has various markers, a calculator, and other art supplies. The room contains chairs, a small refrigerator, and pinball machines in the background.

These pieces were specially created for clients, reflecting personal collaborations that infuse their unique ideas into the artwork. Whether it’s a special occasion like a birthday, anniversary, or taking an earlier piece and adding personal elements to it, I love blending the essence of my art with meaningful aspects of their lives.

Summer Camp

32x40 inches, acrylic paint on paper. Custom clipboard

This piece was created in collaboration with a married couple who owns a sleep away camp in Wisconsin.

Cheat Codes

32x40 inch, Posca acrylic on paper

Like so many of us who grew up in the 80s playing the Nintendo NES, this client wanted a piece that captured his early obsession with using cheat codes to finish games.

Birthday Rave

32x40 inches, Acrylic paint on paper

This client wanted to surprise her husband with a piece that incorporated all his favorite things: rave parties, Star Wars, Dungeons & Dragons, Lord of the Rings, and of course, pizza.

  • Handwritten letter with colored drawings and stickers, including New Tarts candy, a Tic Tac box, and a sketch of a man pointing, addressed to Billy about Etch-A-Sketch and Tic Tacs.

    Etch-A-Sketch

32x40 inches, Acrylic on paper, 2024

This one was fun - previously client but this time, in the style of my “love letter” pieces, where there’s usually some kind of awkward negotiation for affection. We packed in tons of personal references, from how they first met to her favorite candy, to the time her dad literally threw an Etch-A-Sketch out the window during a sibling fight. A weird love story told exactly the way it happened.

  • A handwritten promotional flyer for Bill Musselman's basketball school, featuring colorful drawings of a basketball, a dog, a basketball hoop, and a young player, with various sections describing the program's warm-up, skills, scrimmage, and the three E's of enthusiasm, energy, and effort.

    School Of Basketball

32x40 inches, Acrylic paint on paper, 2024

This client commissioned a surprise anniversary gift for his wife, based on her late father - a beloved basketball coach. Since sports aren’t exactly my strong suit, we collaborated closely to get the details right. I still wanted to weave in something personal, so “Norman the killer dog” is actually inspired by the terrifying mutt from my own childhood.

  • Colorful doodle invitation to a dance party with whimsical drawings of characters and fun instructions.

    Naked Dance Party

32x40 inches, Copic on paper, 2017

This was a surprise gift for one of my closest friends who had been trying tog et me to go to Burning Man for almost 20 years. In 2017, after rejecting his invite once again, I decided to surprise him with this piece that would go in my place. Even though I’ve never been, I leaned into the same approach I use for everything I make - tap into the wild imagination of being a kid. I mean, who wouldn’t want a dance party with a 20-foot PEZ dispenser and all-you-can-eat bacon?

  • A handwritten child's math quiz with colorful stickers and drawings, including a pink shirt with a cartoon face, a gorilla with a lightning bolt, a toy train explosion, and a drone with the words 'this really happen'

    Quiz 8

32x40 inches, Posca and Copic on paper

Inspired by an earlier piece I created, this New York-based couple and I collaborated to incorporate specific references to both his current city of residence and his original hometown of Ohio in questions 3 & 4.

  • A handwritten letter on lined notebook paper discussing a drawing of a house and a flying unicorn with two kids riding it, drawn in colored ink.

    Farting Rainbows

32x40 inches, Acrylic paint on paper

When this Malibu client moved into her new home, she gave me total creative freedom with just one request: “I love the love letters.” So I figured Malibu was the perfect place for a majestic unicorn that farts rainbows. The drawing of her house is mostly accurate - I just assumed the HOA has no rule against mythical creatures.
